Memory

Measurement modes
Body mode is used for forehead temperature checks. Some models also list object or room-temperature modes. These are separate settings and should not be used to interpret body temperature.
Measurement distance
There is no universal distance for every infrared thermometer. FI02 and FI05 specify approximately 3–5 cm (1.2–2 inches) from the forehead. With any model, use the distance given in its instructions.
